We are Datum Advanced Composites Private Limited – a rapidly growing fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite manufacturing business from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. At Datum, we design, develop, and manufacture high-performance, lightweight FRP composite products for our customers. We cover all aspects of the composite product lifecycle, from new product design, process development, prototyping, verification and validation, and series production to aftersales product support. Job Description

As a Commercial Executive, you will play a vital role in our business by liaising between Datum and our valued customers. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of customer contracts and service agreements, manage customer relationships, and optimise service delivery. You will also support materials resource planning, ensuring the availability and allocation of materials for production processes. You will join the Business Support job family in our Advanced Manufacturing Facility at 523, Ratanpur, Panki, Kanpur – 208020, Uttar Pradesh, India. The role is Full-time and Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for performing the following activities:

  • Draft, review, and manage agreements and contracts, carefully ensuring that all terms and conditions are accurately documented and adhered to.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to address project changes and concerns, update contract details, and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Oversee service agreements with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless communication and timely fulfilment of service commitments to our valued clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service agreement obligations are met and exceeded whenever possible.
  • Cultivate and nurture positive and enduring relationships with existing and potential customers, serving as their primary point of contact for inquiries, support, and issue resolution.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, aligning our services with their evolving needs.
  • Develop and maintain a robust and efficient supply chain to support our advanced composites manufacturing processes.
  • Support effective materials resource planning strategies using our advanced ERP system to optimise inventory levels, reduce shortages, and ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Key Personal Attributes, Experiences and Qualifications

The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following attributes:

Essential

  • Proven experience in customer accounts management, procurement, sourcing, or purchasing roles within the advanced composites manufacturing or related industry.
  • Thorough understanding of contract management, service agreements, and compliance documents specific to the advanced composites sector.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast supply chain demands, ensuring a seamless flow of materials for production.
  • Strong organisational skills and problem-solving abilities, paying meticulous attention to detail.

Desired

  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Relations and Supply Chain Management, specifically within the advanced composites or aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP and MRP systems.
  • Previous experience using ERPNext in a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant educational background in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
