We are Datum Advanced Composites Private Limited – a rapidly growing fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite manufacturing business from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. At Datum, we design, develop, and manufacture high-performance, lightweight FRP composite products for our customers. We cover all aspects of the composite product lifecycle, from new product design, process development, prototyping, verification and validation, and series production to aftersales product support. We offer accurate market intelligence and industry-leading technical training courses to help businesses and professionals grow effectively.

Our customer base includes global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Micro, Small & Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and academic organisations hailing from the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Mass Transport, Marine, Renewable Energy and Healthcare sectors. Job Description

As a Human Resource Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our company’s growth by acquiring and managing our most valuable asset – Our People. You will handle all aspects of human resources, from talent acquisition and employee onboarding to career development and resource management. You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives and foster a positive and engaging work environment. You will join the Business Support job family in our Advanced Manufacturing Facility at 523, Ratanpur, Panki, Kanpur – 208020, Uttar Pradesh, India. The role is Full-time and Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for performing the following activities:

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle salary negotiations and other terms of employment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Coordinate and conduct new starter inductions, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for all new employees.
  • Oversee payroll processes, working closely with finance to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Identify training needs, develop training programs, and organize learning initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Support career development plans and facilitate internal promotions.
  • Monitor and manage workforce requirements to ensure optimal staffing levels and allocation of resources across projects and departments.

Key Personal Attributes, Experiences and Qualifications

The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following attributes:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an HR role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong expertise in talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Proficient in HR software and tools.

Desired

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resource Management and Development.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience in the composites manufacturing industry or a related technical field.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).
  • Knowledge of payroll management system.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as ERPNext, SAP or similar.
