Job Description

As a Production Team Leader, you will be a part of a dedicated Integrated Product Team (IPT), overseeing our production processes and ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and production workers, ensuring that they meet production targets, maintain high product quality, and adhere to safety and operational standards.  You will join the Operations job family in our Advanced Manufacturing Facility at 523, Ratanpur, Panki, Kanpur – 208020, Uttar Pradesh, India. The role is Full-time and Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall be responsible for performing the following activities:

  • Lead and supervise the production team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations and optimal productivity.
  • Monitor and control production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise production processes and implement improvements.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the production area.
  • Maintain and update production records and reports for management review.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and employee growth

Key Personal Attributes, Experiences and Qualifications

The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following attributes:

Essential

  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in composites or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of composites manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to motivate and guide the production team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Desired

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations or Production Management, Production Planning and Execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with advanced composites technologies and automated production systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certifications in relevant areas of production and leadership.
